Grief Growing

If everything you are,
Lies in the biggest tree,
Which never stops growing,
If every leaf falls,
With your tears,
If every flower wilts,
Because of unrequited love,
If every fruit rots,
Every time you see him,
If the branch cracks,
When he hangs on you,
If the barks fall,
With every step he leaves,
If the roots wither,
With his every word,
To another soul,
If your tree falls,
Will he care at all?
